Description
Ikkat is one of the oldest techniques and designs from ancient times in Odisha, India’s heritage & cultural city. It is also called Bandha work based on tie-dying the warp and weft threads to create the design on the loom prior to weaving. The design inspired by MAYURA CHANDRIKA means the peacock feather, the ornamental symbol of Lord Jagannath ( Krishna) expressed neatly on the handlooms.
